This years halloween choices are endless, though we all know the Joker and Harley Quinn will dominant. Let's begin with the infamous Mr.J, Jared Leto brought a very serious side to this character, with the dark makeup to match.
All your going to need is green hairspray, super light foundation, black eyeliner, maroon and black eyeshadow and dark red lipstick. Throw all that together with patience and you will have yourself a joker. The most challenging part of this look is writing damaged on your forehead and the HAHA's, you will see everything backwards in the mirror. You can tell mine needs help, but for doing this look at 11:00pm I let it go.
First step is pinning your hair up so it's shorter, or slicking it back with gel. Use the green hairspray generously to cover your hair, I bought mine from Party City for $4.99 CAN. Use a makeup wipe to clean up the excess on the forehead.
Next prime your eyes and apply black eyeshadow all over the lid and smoke it out, apply a cranberry maroon shade in the crease and continue to smoke it out. Follow the same steps on the lower lash line. I used the Smashbox Cherry Smoke Pallet. I also used green eyeshadow on my brows to fill them, was not prepared to put glue on my brows to block them out.
Apply the lightest shade of foundation you can find, apply it on your entire face, neck and chest. I used Lo'real True match in the lightest shade I had. Then I set everything with Translucent powder.
For the Tattoos I used an eyeliner pen and did the best I could writing out damaged and sketching out the J and HAHA'S. This is the most time consuming. Also use the eyeliner to draw the marks/ scars that he had on his face.
For the lips I took a medium red lipstick, then with a black eyeliner I outlined the lips blending the two together to create that lip colour. I suggest investing in the grill teeth if your using this costume to go out. I was not however so I used aluminum foil and shaped it too my teeth. Not the most comfortable but it got the look across.
For the total wild card Haley Quinn it was very similar to the Joker for products. Margot Robbie made this character fun and insane. She was hands down my friend and I's favourite aspect of the movie.
For the hair it's easier to buy the wigs at the costume shops, but being I did this on a whim I used washable face paint on my tips and threw my hair in pigtails
For the foundation it's the same as the Joker, super light to get that bleached skin look.
The eyes are debatable, I see plenty of people using red eyeshadow. When I look at the pictures of Margot Robbie I see pink. For my recreation I used pink eyeshadow and deep blue to match the hair. Apply this as messy as possible and smear it down your face.
For her Tattoos of the heart and rotten I used the same black eyeliner marker as I did with the Joker. Making sure I placed them on the same side as they are in the Film.
I kept my brows a natural colour, Harley did not have crazy eyebrows
Finnish off with a fire engine red lipstick, mine was Clinque and you have got yourself a crazy Harleen Quinzel
