As we start a new year I feel it's time to start a new subscription. This will be the last Ipsy review I do, I'm switching over to the Seasonal Fab, Fit Fun box. That being said it's nothing bad to do with Ipsy, I feel like I need a change and after 2 and a half years all those monthly bags hoard up. I feel like the product selection and bag design has changed since Desi Perkins, Chrispy, Michelle Phan etc sorta moved on. It's still pretty good products, I'm just looking more for full size lifestyle, makeup and fitness items now. Once my seasonal boxes start to arrive I will be reviewing those instead. With out too much rambling let's see what I got in my finale bag. All products are broken down into Canadian prices as well based on current exchange rate.
-417 Hand Moisturizer - This cream is extremely strong in smell, it reminds me of a very sophisticated perfume. The formula absorbs fairly quickly and contains Sesame seed oil, beeswax, dead sea water, evening primrose oil, olive oil. At the very end of the ingredients list it shows shea butter, vitamin F,A,E,B, which we all know is not very much because it's listed last. Most company's list the ingredients in order of high to low usage. Top ingredients are water, glycerin and cetyl alcohol. Again I would not recommend this if you are sensitive to perfume and scents. This hand moisturizer is paraben free and mineral oil free. Made in Israel , it goes for $17.00 USD/ 100ml we received a 30ml = $5.10 USD $6.69 CAN.
PACIFICA Blushious Coconut and Rose Infused Cheek Colour - Shade WildRose is a universally flattering shade with pink undertones. This product is 100% vegan, cruelty free. Unicorn lovers will really adore this packaging, there is a gold unicorn right on the lid of the blush. WildRose is very light weight with a highlight sheen. Not a matte blush though I feel healthy glowing skin and cheeks are more on trend. Full Retail price is $12.00 USD/ .10oz That size is what we received in the bag $15.74 CAN
Trust Fund Beauty Lipgloss- The shade is a dusty rose called " Method to the Madness". The formula feels incredibly smooth and is not sticky or gunky feeling on the lips. This wears perfectly on its own with the subtle colour and hydrating effect. My ingredient favourites are sunflower seed oil, apricot kernal oil, shea butter, cocao seed butter, and vitamin E all to help condition the lips. A bonus is it's vegan and cruelty free. Trust Fund Beauty is a super fun with the names of the lip and nail products seriously check it out, a few of my favourites are called "waste his time 2017", " why you mad tho?", "elegantly wasted", "Boozy Brunch", and last but not least "Boy Tears" all these are nail polish colours. The back story of the Founder Samara Granofsky is truly beautiful and I will be looking into more products from her line.
The Balm - Bahama Mama Bronzer This is a versatile powder you can use as a contour, matte brown eyeshadow or eyebrow filler. I'm glad I get to try this out, it's a toss up between this and trying hula bronzer by benefit. I will hopefully have a decision by summer, it is 6 month's away so we gotta get on the ball. Full size is $20.00 USD, my guess is this is $5.00 worth I could not find the exact sizes to be sure.
Pretty Woman Nail Polish - This was the only let down in my bag this month, the shade "I Can't Deal" is a grey beige and I literally can not deal. Not in a good way, grey nails are not my cup of tea. If it had been another colour it wouldn't have been so bad. I will be giving this away, my collection will not sport a grey. This full size is $7.99 USD = $10.48 CAN
This months bag in total retail value was worth $66.76 CAN again Ipsy did not let us down on the value. I want to say thank you to everyone who monthly read my Ipsy reviews. Being an Ipster for 2 and a half years has been fun with all you fellow Ipsy lovers. Who knows i may subscribe back in the future see where the wind takes me. Stay tuned for future blog post on Fun Fit Fab FFF excited to see what they have to offer and even more excited to share with you all reviews and values of the products.
