As we start a new year I feel it's time to start a new subscription. This will be the last Ipsy review I do, I'm switching over to the Seasonal Fab, Fit Fun box. That being said it's nothing bad to do with Ipsy, I feel like I need a change and after 2 and a half years all those monthly bags hoard up. I feel like the product selection and bag design has changed since Desi Perkins, Chrispy, Michelle Phan etc sorta moved on. It's still pretty good products, I'm just looking more for full size lifestyle, makeup and fitness items now. Once my seasonal boxes start to arrive I will be reviewing those instead. With out too much rambling let's see what I got in my finale bag. All products are broken down into Canadian prices as well based on current exchange rate.
-417 Hand Moisturizer - This cream is extremely strong in smell, it reminds me of a very sophisticated perfume. The formula absorbs fairly quickly and contains Sesame seed oil, beeswax, dead sea water, evening primrose oil, olive oil. At the very end of the ingredients list it shows shea butter, vitamin F,A,E,B, which we all know is not very much because it's listed last. Most company's list the ingredients in order of high to low usage. Top ingredients are water, glycerin and cetyl alcohol. Again I would not recommend this if you are sensitive to perfume and scents. This hand moisturizer is paraben free and mineral oil free. Made in Israel , it goes for $17.00 USD/ 100ml we received a 30ml = $5.10 USD $6.69 CAN.
PACIFICA Blushious Coconut and Rose Infused Cheek Colour - Shade WildRose is a universally flattering shade with pink undertones. This product is 100% vegan, cruelty free. Unicorn lovers will really adore this packaging, there is a gold unicorn right on the lid of the blush. WildRose is very light weight with a highlight sheen. Not a matte blush though I feel healthy glowing skin and cheeks are more on trend. Full Retail price is $12.00 USD/ .10oz That size is what we received in the bag $15.74 CAN
Trust Fund Beauty Lipgloss- The shade is a dusty rose called " Method to the Madness". The formula feels incredibly smooth and is not sticky or gunky feeling on the lips. This wears perfectly on its own with the subtle colour and hydrating effect. My ingredient favourites are sunflower seed oil, apricot kernal oil, shea butter, cocao seed butter, and vitamin E all to help condition the lips. A bonus is it's vegan and cruelty free. Trust Fund Beauty is a super fun with the names of the lip and nail products seriously check it out, a few of my favourites are called "waste his time 2017", " why you mad tho?", "elegantly wasted", "Boozy Brunch", and last but not least "Boy Tears" all these are nail polish colours. The back story of the Founder Samara Granofsky is truly beautiful and I will be looking into more products from her line.
The Balm - Bahama Mama Bronzer This is a versatile powder you can use as a contour, matte brown eyeshadow or eyebrow filler. I'm glad I get to try this out, it's a toss up between this and trying hula bronzer by benefit. I will hopefully have a decision by summer, it is 6 month's away so we gotta get on the ball. Full size is $20.00 USD, my guess is this is $5.00 worth I could not find the exact sizes to be sure.
Pretty Woman Nail Polish - This was the only let down in my bag this month, the shade "I Can't Deal" is a grey beige and I literally can not deal. Not in a good way, grey nails are not my cup of tea. If it had been another colour it wouldn't have been so bad. I will be giving this away, my collection will not sport a grey. This full size is $7.99 USD = $10.48 CAN
This months bag in total retail value was worth $66.76 CAN again Ipsy did not let us down on the value. I want to say thank you to everyone who monthly read my Ipsy reviews. Being an Ipster for 2 and a half years has been fun with all you fellow Ipsy lovers. Who knows i may subscribe back in the future see where the wind takes me. Stay tuned for future blog post on Fun Fit Fab FFF excited to see what they have to offer and even more excited to share with you all reviews and values of the products.
This month's hot pink furry clutch was packed with little early Christmas gifts for yourself. Below I will give a small review on each product and it's CAN dollar value, plus the grand value based on current exchange rate. Hope everyone has an amazing holiday this year with family and friends, lets jump into 2016's last Ipsy review.
Ciate London Liquid Velvet shade "Pin Up" - the hyaluronic acid has a very moisturizing effect on the lips, never creasing in my cracks. The berry pigment is suitable for day and night wear, flattering on many skintones. I have already recieved this shade in my Chloe Morello beauty haul, if you want some makeup inspiration with this shade check out her Youtube videos. Ciate London did a nice job on this lip formula, the only negative thing I have to say is it's not smudge proof. The dom applicator makes application precise and hasslefree. All 13 shades avaliable are formulated without gluten and it's vegan and cruelty free, you can purchase them on sephora.ca Full retail value $23.00 CAN/ 6ml Size in bag $7.50 CAN for 2ml.
Mint Pear Blending Sponge- this sponge is latex free and made with anti- microbial material. I can tell by the texture of this sponge it's not one of the cheap $5.00 ones you see around. The material and shape show this has had the influence of people in the industry behind it. I own a beauty blender like every other makeup user in the world. This sponge is just as good at blending and the pear shape makes it great for contour blending. The fine tip feature makes working around the eyes and nose stress free. The durablity claims to not dry up and crack ; it will take a few months of use to see if it's true to it's claim. Full retail value $20.00 USD= $26.69 CAN
The Balm Mad Lash Black Mascara- there is not much to say about mascara, it gets the job done. The curved wand does all the work for you lifting the lashes up. The formula is slightly better than the drugstore mascara's placing it in the middle brand market. Mascara is a hard cosmetic to review because it's a pretty basic makeup item. Full retail value $18.00 USD/ 8ml = $24.00 CAN Size in bag $7.50 CAN for 2.5ml
Barefoot Venus Gingersnap Instant Hand Repair - let me just start off by saying this holiday collection smells like freshly baked gingerbread. I'm in love with this creams festive smell. Made with shea butter, mango seed butter, olive oil and soybean oil, it's intensely hydrating. The cream is extremly thick at first, almost like when you get butter on your hands and try to wash them. I hate to say it but I felt like I wanted to wipe my hands on a cloth instantly. After about 6-7 minutes it worked it's self into the skin. All my dryness was rehydrated, which is perfect for Canadian winters. A portion of the proceeds are donated to grass- roots organization that helps individuals and families living with Autism. Barefoot Venus is made in Canada and has super chic packaging in an assortment of bath, hand, foot and body care. Full retail value $4.75 CAN/ 1oz that was the size in bag
Tarte Maracuja Oil - this oil is perfect for balancing a number of skin concerns. Full of fatty acids to reawaken the skins suppleness. The vitamin C will brighten the skin and even out coloured patches. The oil is a great product to add to the night skincare routine. The smell of the oil is kinda odd, but nothing to potenient you can't overlook. Maracuja oil is formulated without gluten, mineral oils, sodium lauryl sulfates, while having the bonus of being vegan and hypoallergenic. Whoever designed the packaging did a beautiful job with the purple glass jar and fake wood and gold top. Attached to the top is a dropper, to get the perfect amount of drops out for each use. I personally use about 3 drops in my palm and pat into my skin. Full retail value $19.00 CAN/ 15ml size in bag $8.82 CAN/ 7ml
This months full retail bag total with these products was $55.26 Canadian. Can not wait to see what the New Year has in store for Ipsy, until then sending you all the best wishes this holiday! See you in the New Year.
This month Ipsy has created a beauty bag with out of this world products. The stars of this month are Luxie 524T brush, Pur-lisse Blue Lotus Balancing Moisturizer, ADESSE New York Organic infused nail treatment, Elizabeth Mott Colour is BAE lip lacquer and Too Faced better than sex mascara. A beautiful galaxy themed bag was included to hold all the universe in. I usually wait till the end of the review to show how much this bag was worth in Canadian Dollars, this month I'm too excited so I'm dropping it now. Rockstarlet bag with these products is worth a whopping $107.00 CAN with the current exchange rate!! Let's get into the break down shall we?
Luxie 524T Brush | Rose Gold Duo Fibre Brush- This brush is made of synthetic hypoallergenic hairs that are super soft to the touch. The aesthetic design is very eye catching with the pale pink handle attached to the rose gold ferrule. Designed to work with cream, powder and liquids to obtain a desirable application. Luxie is vegan and cruelty free, while providing a wide variety of brushes and eye makeup to choose from. I personally will be using this brush with my highlighters. The size makes it convenient for traveling. They have coated the hairs with an anti bacterial solution to keep the build up at bay. I still recommend cleaning your brushes to keep them in good condition. Full retail value $24.13 CAN
Pur-lisse Blue Lotus Balancing Moisturizer- Suitable for all skin types with the recommendation for normal, dry and sensitive. Perfect for this mid November time of year, my skin tends to be a combination of all three coming into winter. Does anyone else have the same problem in November? This moisturizer's main function is fine line prevention. Key ingredients include blue lotus a antioxidant known for its anti inflammatory benefits. Vitamin E to improve skin texture and premature ageing. White tea to add anti bacterial properties keeping acne at bay and help smooth the skin thats raised. To retain moisture on dry skin it also contains french marine plants. Use this day and night after cleansing for best results. Full retail value- $55.00 USD/ 50 ml = $78.87 CAN size in bag was 15ml making it $16.50 USD/ $22.20 CAN
ADESSE New York Organic Infused Nail Treatment- This is a brightening base coat used to treat and prevent nail discolouration, from free radicals and environmental stress. Formulated with bamboo extract, keratin protein, white tea extract and vitamin E. The blend of these ingredients prime and protect the the nail and cuticle. You can apply this alone or under a nail polish. Due to the organic and natural ingredients keep in mind this does have an expiry date. My expiry is 06/19 it was formulated on 07/16. Key to keep documented that its made without toluene, DBP, formaldehyde, resin or camphor. The company does not test its products on animals. Full retail value $18.00 USD = $24.18 CAN
Elizabeth Mott Color is BAE lip lacquer- Shade moxie mauve. This full coverage lip lacquer dries down to a matte finish. The aroma of this product is fruity. The wand applicator makes the application very easy to guide the product along the lips. The initial formula is creamy and shiny, within minutes it dries down to a matte muted rose colour. I personally find the final stage to be a tad sticky. It's more of a dry stick than a hair stuck in it wet stickiness. The colour alone though does have full pigmented coverage that does not apply streaky. Full retail value $20.00 USD/ 5g 0.17 oz = $26.86 CAN The size we received in the bag was 4g 0.14oz making it $16.00USD / $21.49 CAN
Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara - Formulated with acacia senegal tree extract with the purpose to thicken the lashes while nourishing the hairs. I have bought this product in the past in full size, resulting in me being truly impressed with the way it makes my lashes appear. I will insert before and after pictures of the mascara at work below. Trust me it is worth the hype this product has been raved about city to city. My lashes appear fluffy and full, the dark black shade really makes them standout. The hourglass wand really distributes the product evenly pushing them up and winging the hairs out. The more applications you do the fuller they appear, that being said don't worry about transfer it's smudge proof. Sephora sells this travel size that was in this months bag for full retail $15.00 CAN
I'm giving Novembers bag a 9/10, I really loved the theme and the wide variety of different products to try. I'm only docking one mark due to my personal preference of non stick lip products. Overall I'm glad I did not miss out on this galaxy themed star bag. I will repeat again this bag was worth $107.00 CAN full retail and only cost $20.00 CAN per month. In the states it's only $10.00 USD, sadly us Canadians have to pay double that price due to shipping. Still worth it for an amazing deal!
October is my favourite month of the year. It's the month I celebrate my birthday and my favourite holiday all in one. This months bag was literally a little birthday gift to myself. Inside the bag was a Makeup Forever HD foundation, Model Co brow pencil, essence waterproof eyeliner, pur-lisse lip nourisher, and teeez cosmetics lipstick. Below is my review and breakdown of each product, plus the retail value in Canadian dollars based on the current exchange.
Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation - I will start with the most anticipated product in my bag. This foundation is very lightweight on the skin and does not leave a cake residue on the skin. Formulated with film and tv lighting in mind it looks great at any angle, and bright lights are not a reason to hide with this foundation. Try to take a photo with your HD camera, you will see what I mean. I applied this with a foundation brush, then used a beauty blender to further blend it into my skin. If you have any events to go to that will have lots of photography I recommend this foundation. Sephora carries this line in 40 shades, retailing at $52.00 CAN for 30 ml. $8.65 CAN for the 5 ml size in bag.
Essence Cosmetics Superfine Eyeliner Pen - Waterproof
This black felt tip pen does have amazing precision for creating a cat eye where you can customize the width of the line. The tip moves nicely to guide the line depositing even colour. The claim to be waterproof is about 30%. When I put it to the test it's waterproof when the water glides over it. I then rubbed it with my finger with the water and it started to break down, fading to nothing. As long as you don't rub your eyes, this will stay water proof. Full size $2.99 USD = $3.95 CAN We received the full size in the bag.
Teeez Cosmetics Eve's Ready to Wear Lipstick in Shade "Romantic Red"
This lipstick is formulated with mango to repair dry, chapped lips. The application is very smooth and even with the distribution. This buttery shade is beautiful for the fall season, even the winter months this would be acceptable for the holidays. I tested it for the ability to be smudge proof, it did not pass the test. My finger smudged it all over the place, would not recommend kisses with this one. This has a fruity flavour, not a bad bonus. Full Retail $22.00 USD = $29.05 CAN
Model Co' Instant Brows Dual Ended Brow Pencil - This product is very easy to control to create a natural filled in brow. I really like that it has a brow groomer on one side. How many times have I forgotten my spooly somewhere when I needed it for my brows. The design makes this product super easy to travel with. This Australian based company really came up with a natural looking shade as well. I'm pleased that I received this in the October bag.
PUR-LISSE Daily Lip Nourisher with Mango and Shea Butters- formulated without petrolium this instead uses mango seed butter that contains vitamins A,C, &E. Also contains sun protector Rice bran oil and Jojoba oil to help with chapped lips. It does not have much flavour to it, an feels hydrating on the lips. Full Retail Value $16.00 USD .38oz 11g = $21.13 CAN . I'm estimating the size in the bag to be around $6.00 CAN.
October's Black Magic Glam Bag is estimated to be around $58.45 CAN at full retail value. Not a bad deal considering it only cost us Canadians $20.00. This is such a fun way to treat the beauty lover in you each month. I will hopefully be uploading a instagram picture of my makeup using all these products at once. My instagram is Tyla_Carmela, to keep up to date on new looks and every month I review the IPSY bag received. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
This months bag I'm rating a 7 out of 10. There is one product I give a 10 out of 10, two that I'm just okay with and two that I could have done without. The bag is made of sturdy material, though the image reminds me of those old leg lamps for some reason. As funny and odd as it sounds that's what I see. Below is my first impressions and the value in Canadian dollars.
Eva NYC Forget me knot dry conditioner | All Hair Types -
First let me start with this hair treatment, the smell is fresh and fantastic deserving a thumbs up. The spray helps detangle and eliminate frizz. A added benefit is it provides static guard, which is perfect for fall and winter when your putting on chunky sweaters. Infused with vitamin B5 &C, and omegas 3,6,9,7. When I know I'm going to use this product I do not apply conditioner in the shower. This will help avoiding over product build up when it's not needed. Ipsy had sent out a dry shampoo from Eva NYC months earlier and I had used it all up. Over all this brand has delivered great products. Full size retail value is $14.00 USD for 5.1oz. equaling out to $18.45 CAN. The size in the Ipsy bag was 0.75oz $2.00USD/ $2.64 CAN.
Elf Clay Eyeshadow Palette - Shade "Smoked to Perfection"
These 5 shades look really pretty in the packaging, truthfully I'm disappointed by the swatches. The shadow has chalky fall out when applying. In the swatch picture, I applied two coats to get the colour shown. The colours are still not dark pigmented and they blend down to nothing. Perhaps it's due to me comparing it to my high end shadows that swatch high pigment in one swipe. I hate to say it, this palette will most likely be thrown to the back of my makeup collection and forgotten about. Sadly this product is nothing to rave about, the only thumbs up will be for the sleek packaging with the mirror. Retail Value $6.00 USD equal to $7.91 CAN
Tresique Highlight Stick Mini -
This Champagne highlight has a very buttery smooth feel to it, thats ridiculously easy to blend with your fingers. The stick applicator makes it easy to glide along the cheekbones, down the centre of the nose, the brow bone and inner tear duct. It twist on the bottom to bring up more product, eliminating the use of a sharpener. The pigment nicely catches the light for a glowy finish. The mini is roughly $7.00 USD equal to $9.22 CAN
Ulta 3 Nail Colour - Sizzling Red
This matte red falls under the classic red shade. The Australian brand also sells makeup products on their website. The retail value is $2.30, which is pretty cheap compared to other brands like O.P.I and CND
Too Faced Lip Injection Lip Plumper| Instantly Sexy Lips-
Best of both worlds, the appearance of a gloss with the benefits of a lip plumper. It feels super moisturizing on the lips and lasted threw one of my two hour work shifts before I ate. I did feel the normal burning/ stinging on the lips that comes along with lip plumper's once applied. The pearliscent look helps create the high shine look. This cute and stylish packaged plumper contains vitamin E, avocado and jojoba oil to moisturize. Dehydrated marine sponge was added in to increase blood flow. The size we received in the Ipsy bag was the travel size 1.5g $17.00 CAN for purchase at Sephora. If your looking for the full size Sephora also sell it 4g at $39.00 CAN.
The Glamazon Ipsy bag with these products come to a retail value of $39.07 CAN. Even though us Canadians have to pay the shipping fee, we are still receiving a deal on these products. Who doesn't enjoy a little surprise gift every month?
This months bag was perfect touch on summer nights. The aspect that impressed me the most as a Canadian Subscriber is all the products are available in CANADA! Below you will read my review and first impressions of the following products. All prices are in Canadian dollars 🇨🇦
Avene Eau Thermale Spring Water 50ml I have purchased the full size in the past of this product. It's a perfect mist to soothe and soften sensitive skin. The use is all day long, after washing my face, over my makeup to add dewiness, to refreshing after being in the hot sun. The possibliities are endless. Additional uses can be on wounds and post procedures. It's made up of pure rainwater mixed with mineral salts straight from the Cevennes Mountains in Avene, France. Full size 500 ml = $24.00 CAN. Size in IPSY bag is close to $2.40 CAN.
Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer 5g/ 0.16oz - This face primer is infused with coconut water to hydrate the face, while Preforming the duty of keeping makeup on the skin longer. This product has a fantastic light smell of coconut, nothing too over powering. The formula is made without silicone, making it lighter texture and not slick on the skin. An added bonus is its cruelty free and vegan friendly. Full size 40g =$40.00 CAN size in IPSY Bag was 5g = $5.00 CAN
Delectable Hand Cream Ultra Nourishing Lemon & Cream 60ml - this super nourishing blend consists of Shea butter, coconut oil, and aloe vera. This formula is light weight and quickly absorbs onto the skin, without leaving an oily residue. The smell is exactly like a lemon meraigne pie. Made in Canada it's formulated without the use of parabens, GMOs, sodium chloride, sodium laurel sulfate, triclosan, gluten, mineral oil or petrolatum. The packaging was a decent size and adorable in appearance. Full size $12.00 CAN 110ml. The size in the bag was roughly $6.00 CAN.
The Balm- meet matt(e) trimony eyeshadow single pan in shade "Matt Moskowitz". This dark brown is a nice crease shade and is blendable to create a smoked out look. IPSY made a good choice for a matte neutral colour that can transition many looks. This is just one shade of the 9 colour pallet that's $54.40 CAN making this single shadow worth $6.00 CAN. In Canada The Balm products are sold at Rexall
Vasanti - contour eyeshadow 4 brush - this brush is the perfect complement to the balm eyeshadow in the IPSY bag. Made with synthetic hairs, it easily shades the eye. The blending result with this brush is very smooth. $21.00 CAN at Canadian Rexall stores
July's total Canadian Retail value was $40.40 the bag with shipping included only cost 20.00 CAN
Seraphine Botanicals blush in shade Happy Hibiscus. The blush is a nice rosey nude with a hint of sheen to it. This blush has no fall out but is packed with pigment. The blush is 99% natural, gluten free, Gmo free and vegan. Formulates without the use of parabens or mineral oil. Made with kaolin clay. The shade choice is perfect for all skin tones and last for 8 hours of wear. I really find this product gives a natural flush on medium skintones. The packaging is super portable and even contains a mirror on the lid compact. $18.00 USD = $23.54 CAN
Urban Decay - Fireball eyeshadow This was the product I was most excited to receive. The colour is described as a peach with a pink shift. I personally find the shift to be purple, either way it's absolutely beautiful. The formula is very soft and easy to blend out. This colour would best suit blue or green eyes with the peachy base. I love the name fireball for this because it accurately mimics fire when it changes shades as it moves. $22.00 CAN for 0.05 oz = $4.40 CAN per 0.01oz size in bag was 0.03oz = roughly around $13.00 CAN
Royal & Longnickel crease and smudge brush - This brush line is 100% vegan with synthetic domes. The handle is waterproof and has grip like texture to it for presicion. I do love this turquoise blue colour but it does not match my classic black set. I will be giving this to a friend. The double ended design makes it hard to store in my brush jars. I was not in need of a brush this month. This brand is sold in the US and the U.K. $5.99 USD = $9.16 CAN
Formula X Nailpolish in shade Wing Woman - This colour is bright red, close to the shade of red you see around the holidays. It takes a couple layers to get the true colour and a flawless application because the brush is so small. 12ml $13.00 CAN size in bag was $4.32 CAN
BioRepublic Fiber Mask in soothing cucumber breeze and illuminating pomegranate crush made with vitamin E suitable for all skin types. I love these types of masks because they are mess free and easy to wear around the house. Each mask had 1/2 bottle of revitalizing skin serum in it . POMEGRANATE- brightens and energizes skin tone while helping even and smooth your complexion - leave on for 15-20 mins . CUCUMBER - tightens pores and reduces fine lines, soothes stressed skin. All masks are free from animal testing. Set of three are $ 14.95 USD = 19.55 CAN. Price of ones in IPSY bag are $13.02 CAN
$63.54 CANADIAN was the total retail value of this months IPSY Bag. Tyla Carmela
This months theme was destination chic, packed with travel size products ready to take aboard. It included a face mask, lip liner, lip balm, mascara and a small contour brush. This months bag was $20.00 CAN shipping included. For information on the products, first impression and price breakdown in Canadian Dollars keep reading below. All prices are based on current exchange rates on posting date unless sold in Canada.
Formula 10.0.6- Pores be pure skin clarifying mud mask Strawberry and Yarrow. 1.0fl oz 30ml Aids in the elimination of dirt and oil to keep the pores clean. The Rosemary in the mask is used as an disinfectant on the skin, keeping acne bacteria at bay. The smell is okay, nothing amazing as it does not smell like pure Rosemary or delicious strawberrys. When looking at the ingredient list those catch me products were listed further down the list, making it a less used ingredient. For that reason I'm not overly ecstatic about this product. I personally feel there is better on the market that have a higher concentration of the ingredients you want. You can find this mask at Walmart $8.97 CAN 3.4 fl oz 100ml. We received 1.0fl oz 30 ml making this $2.64 CAN.
Smashbox X- rated Mascara - This mascara focuses on volume for the lashes. The brush is designed to separate the lashes while costing them with a fiber loaded formula for the most lifted volume lashes. The formula is flake and smudge proof, perfect for flights or events. As you layer it on, you can change the look from subtle day to dramatic night lashes. Retails for $25.00 CAN 0.30 oz. Unfourtunatly the packaging did not show how many ounces we received. I ball park this around $8.00 CAN
Bellapierre - Gel lip liner N.o.02 Nude Before I broke the tip off of it, the liner glided on very smooth and did not drag on the lips. While I was trying to do a arm swatch I pressed too hard resulting in it breaking :( The colour has a dusted rose base, not a beige nude. I have pretty pigmented lips naturally, this just enhanced my natural colour. I feel this colour may not suit everyone, some will find it too dark. The gel formula is decently smudge proof, also water resistant. With that formula it makes it a great addition to the beach bag. $18.00 USD full size. $23.22 CAN. We received the full size in our bag.
Jersey Shore Spa Moisture Rich Hydrating Balm - The first thing I will say is this smells amazing. The smell of the essential oils they put on you at a spa is what it reminds me of. Made with organic non Gmo ingredients sunflower oil, coconut oil, beeswax. Cocoa butter, lavender oil and vitamin E. The feeling is richly smooth and light on the lips. Cruelty free and paraben free. IPSY has sent this brand before and it's a balm I'm constantly grabbing for. My other lip balm from them is running low, I appreciate this being in the bag to get me threw the summer. $10.00 USD = $12.90 CAN
Slmissglam W07 Small Contour Brush - For this exact brush I can only see it available for retail as a set of 25 for $325.00 USD on their website. Making it. $419.30 CAN for the kit. The brush hairs are extremely soft and gentle, and are the perfect size for contouring small areas on the face. The only down fall for me with this brush is the colour. My personal opinion is it looks like a brush from a princess makeup kit for a 6 year old. With the hot pink tip and rhinestones it's a little much. I prefer professional black classic brushes. It does preform well, so I will over look the design. On its own $13.00 USD = $16.77 CAN.
The total retail value this month is $63.53 CAN. This summer I will be packing these up on trips to make for an easy beauty regimen. TYLA CARMELA

Tarte Lip Surgence Creme - shade " Wonder" The ingredients in this are all the things your lips are craving for. It's made with maracuja which is full of vitamin C and fatty acids to nourish the lips. Jojoba seed oil to smooth the lips and make them hydrated. Shea butter to keep the elasticity to the skin. Vitamin E is in the lip creme to add the benefits of an antioxidant. The shade is poppy hue, I find to be very bright and bold.
The lip creme is transferable and does not last threw a meal. It does stay threw an afternoon or evening when not indulging in food or drink. I quick touch up fixes it if eatting. The ultimate feel of it is very hydrating on the lips. Full size $29.00 CAN/ 3g/0.1oz Size in bag 1.6g/0.056oz. Making this roughly around $11.00 CAN
Luxie Beauty - Dreamcatcher Tapered Highlighter Brush 522 The light periwinkle handle makes this super easy to find in my brush collection. Luxie brushes are 100% cruelty free made with synthetic hairs. 100% vegan made with bristles that are coated with antibacterial solution, to keep them more hygenic for solo face use. If using on multiple clients I still advise to cleanse throughly between each use. This brush in peticular is an extremely versitile highlighting brush used with wet or dry highlighters. From baking to contours, setting the t zone area and under eye this brush can do it all. You can buy the entire brush collection for $150.00 USD = $192.25 CAN This individual brush is $32.00 USD = $41.00 CAN. Luxie was founded in 2014 by Tammy Huynh, it's worth checking out her beauty products as well that are infused with vitamins to benefit the skin .
Skinn Cosmetics - Bright Eyes Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Nude eyeliner to rim the waterline to help create a wide awake look. This has been a fun secret tip of mine for awhile. In comparasion I do like this liner a lot more than the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Nude liner. It has a longer staying power in the water line. For us in Canada you can buy this on the Shopping Channel Canada. $18.00 USD 0.01oz (0.3g) we received the full size in this months IPSY bag. $23.10 CAN
StarLooks Cream Eyeshadow in Rose Gold This packaging comes with a Dom applicator, you can also apply with a flat synthetic concealer brush or your fingers. The colour is absolutely stunning with such shimmer. My favourite technique has been applying it in the inner part of the eye for luminosity. $ 12.00 USD for full size $15.40 CAN . The website did not list the size I'm going to estimate the size we got is half size. Making this $7.70 CAN
Moroccan Oil Treatment Oil By this point we have all heard of Moroccan oil that started a haircare revolution. This Argan oil and vitamins hair product helps condition your hair keeping the follicles damage free and added high shine. This is my favourite product to use to smooth the Friz out of my hair. Applying it to damp hair, it smooths and detangles before I use heat styling tools. Apply it on dry hair as an finishing oil to add extra shine. Suitable for all hair types. Smallest size available for retail is $6.50 USD .85fl oz/ 25 ml the size we received in the bag was 0.34fl oz/ 10ml $3.30 CAN

NYX Liquid Suede - Shade "Soft Spoken" . This lipstick glides on very smooth, and has a matte finish. There is absolutely no gloss or sheen to the finished application. The shade Soft Spoken is a muted rose, there are 11 other shades to choose from in the collection. Soft spoken is in the same shade range as M.A.C "Whirl" with just a bit more of a muted rose pigment. It's a fairly close dupe if you were looking for more affordable. I did put it to the test of eatting and drinking, it did not last threw the meal unfourtunatly. The long lasting effect is true if you don't eat. In total this is not a lip stain, but does have amazing colour pay off. NYX is 100% cruelty free brand, they have been certified. Full Size $10.00 CAN we received the full size in bag.
Temptu Warm Glow Bronzer - The bronzer has a very natural colour, that contains shimmer in it for the glowy effect. This is not a matte bronzer for contouring, more of a finishing bronzer for all over. I have been applying this with my fingers and blending it out with a beauty blender. The original packaging is a pod to put inside an airbrush applicator. That application will give a different effect and finish than how I'm applying it. My skin does look refreshed after applying this where the sun naturally hits. On the website you can buy this bronzer and a highlighter duo pods for $65.00 CAN 8ml each. This shade is versatile on all skintones, and does not strike or create patches. The colour is transfer resistant , though I did notice the shimmer transferred. The bronzer is perfect for summer due to it being sweat resistant. The liquid is very light weight, non comedogenic and hypoallergenic. Temptu has a very impressive history in the beauty industry. It has been used on movies, tv, runways, and photoshoots with some of Hollywoods elite. Some of their work includes " The Voice", Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Italian Vouge, Givenchy and Jean Paul Gauitier runways. Over the years they have created and enhanced makeup applications. I could not see on the website myself about cruelty free. Threw the research of others they state their finished products are not tested on animals. The formulas are not certified vegan. Full size $32.50 CAN 8ml. We received 7.5 ml in our bag.
Essence Make Me Brow - eyebrow gel mascara "Browny Brows 02" This is a perfect dupe for benefits give me brow, the tint is very pigmented. The formula contains fibers to fill in any spare hairs on the natural brow, to achieve a full natural looking brow. I did not find the brush hard to work with. It was a clean and simple application with no transfer past the brow hairs. The wand applicator is a bit longer than the Benefit gimme brow. It holds more product in one application, eliminating the double dip. I will be using this back and forth with Benefits gimme brow, because I'm still such a fan of that one as well. Though I dislike using it everyday because of the price. This product will help balance out the use. Essence is free of animal testing and IS AVALIABLE at CANADIAN SHOPPERS DRUGMARTS. $2.99USD 0.12fl oz Roughly $4.00 CAN. We received the full size product.
Beau Gachis Paris Eyeshadow Brush. Made from high grade animal hair and synthetic hair, natural wood and cooper . The brush can be used with loose or cream eyeshadows. The hairs are extremely soft on the lid and looks sophisicated and professional with the black and silver colouring. This is a family owned business that was inspired by their daughters. Founded by Bill & Robin Guess in 2013. Their story is inspiring and can be found on their website. $12.00 USD = $15.61 CAN
Dead Sea wash off mud mask My skin felt extremely good after using this mud mask. Sea salts and mud masks have been my favourite since learning body mud treatments in college. I use masks on a weekly routine to improve my skins texture. I love the packaging of this with a cap, that way you don't feel pressured to use it all at one time so it doesn't dry out. This mask can be used on the face and body. The salts and minerals come from the Dead Sea in Isresl. People travel from all over to bath in the mud found there. The mud from the Dead Sea is so high in minerals it can be traced back thousands of years for its healing properties on the skin. I was not disappointed to receive this product in my IPSY bag. $10.00 USD for 5oz = $13.00 CAN Best $13.00 spent on Mud . We received 1oz in our bag $2.60 CAN
This months bag was worth $64.71 CAN!! Very excited to continue using these products 🤗
